Our new patches are full of baby squash at this late date?

Our New patches planted in mid spring of 2011 have come back after being devestated by Gophers and Squirrels!
I know, we should kill those pesky rodents!  but I just hate to poison any of Gods creatures and figured if we plant enough  patches the most vigorous plants will survive!   And they did,  They just completely took over a half acre over the month of November, but it may be too late for this years crop.  They will surely come back strong next year
