California Chilacayote

At a 1500 foot elevation with an old growth Avocado orchard giving partial shade to most of this mountain property. It turns out to be the perfect location for mountain loving Chilacayote Squash (Cucurbita Ficifolia). When we first arrived here there were dozens of 14 pound plus Chilacayote's hanging 20 feet up in the Avocado canopy.
Though we Initially sold our Chilacayote squash direct - We are now making seeds available for you to grow this wonderful strain for your self and save on fuel and shipping costs. Given proper pollination (It seems bee's are our primary pollinator) this vigorous and medicinal squash can grow through out most of the U.S. and Europe.
